KAYL began with a small group of engaged and proactive high school students. We continue to follow their footsteps in creating a space for Korean American and AAPI youth to uplift and lead their communities.

Every project undertaken by KAYL is initiated and led by students within KAYL’s ranks. With each new year, projects may change and adapt to fit a new generation of leadership. Our past projects are archived on this site as examples for students to learn from. All current projects KAYL is undertaking are as follows.
KAYL has presided over various types of International Cultural Exchange Programs over the years - from international symposiums to ROK government-funded projects. All of our unique exchange programs hold true to the following common objectives: promote cultural exchange, empower the Korean diaspora, and engage with our Korean-American identity.
KAYL dedicates a section towards the Newsflash articles. Every month, articles are published with an objective of highlighting Korean culture, traditions, current events and raising awareness. Students are able to express their creativity and advocacy for their community through these eloquent articles.
“All in One Bowl” is a podcast series created by KAYL to create a change in our community with compassion and creativity. “All in One Bowl” creates monthly podcast episodes that explore Asian American issues of the past and present in enjoyable, succinct episodes.
“Take space and make yourself heard,” is the motto behind KAYL’s promotion of the arts. Join KAYL in producing and showcasing off young talent. Be on the lookout for KAYL official art competitions related to Korean culture, civic movements, and special events.

KAYL’s leadership is primarily run by the core council and advisors. Executive roles in KAYL assist in project management or lead a project themselves. General members uphold KAYL’s mission statement and make up KAYL’s driving force in actualizing projects.
